2009/03/3 : Ministry of Commerce & Industry (MoCI) in cooperation with Ministry of Interior and Independent Committee for Monitoring the Implementation of Anticorruption Strategy took the initiative to establish an Export Hotline for traders. Addressing the reporters at a press conference H.E. Wahidullah Shahrani, Minister of Commerce & Industry said that the main purpose of establishing the center is to register problems and suggestions of various exporters about collection of illegal fees and corruption issues at various export relevant terminals of Afghanistan and facilitate by following up on the complaints. This hotline will serve as a complaint center to generate accurate reports and identify hotspots around the country through a dedicated number (9999). The reports will be shared with relevant government authorities for follow up and action. This initiative is financially supported for two years by Harakat, an independent, Afghan-managed organization supported by DFID. |
