| Traders Hotline Center starts functioning |

Traders hotline center is functional from 13 June 2009 in Kabul serving as a complaint center about briberies/ illegal taxes on various highways around the country in order to identify hotpots through a dedicated number (5151) and thus generate accurate reports. .
The main purpose of establishing the center was to register problems and suggestions of various traders on highways as well as in the cities of Afghanistan by following up the complaints with relevant ministries and institutions.
Since the start of its operations, several hotspots were identified where official and non-official personnel asked for briberies and illegal taxes.In most of the cases, immediate intervention was carried out by the concerned police authorities to facilitate the traders.
It is worth mentioning that, hotline center operations are financially supported by Harakat, an Independent Afghan managed organization.
